"Wait---what? You've never been swimming? That's a fucking crime if ever I heard one. How about I show you what it's like to feel the cool water against your skin? Hear the waves sloshing against your ears? It's fun."
Aleksi wanted to open up the man's eyes which were forced shut for all his life.
"I know I'm drunk and I didn't mean now. Never when I've touched booze."
Aleksi shook his head. It was his number one rule to never touch the water when he'd been drinking because he'd drown. The boy was a drunk at times but his swimming and diving he took very seriously.
"We're at the after party so we're allowed to get drunk. There's plenty of time on the tour to go swimming together."
Dominic nodded because he could imagine drowning being a problem from what he saw of 'drunk' on the tour.
"I don't think I can get drunk." His glass was empty again and he still didn't feel anything. The tickling got a weird look from Dominic. He wondered what Aleksi was doing but then again, maybe it was something here that he would have to learn what it meant. He's obviously a bit confused.
"We'll have to put that to the test. Let me order some more cocktails for us both, stronger this time."
Aleksi would make sure the bartender added more booze to Dominic's glass because he really wanted to see the man get drunk, lose control and have fun. Was he really that immune to booze? It was weird, almost.
"Here we go. Yours is on the right. They're Sex on the Beach with extra vodka and tequila in both."
The young man didn't even assume why Dominic was confused about the chin tickle.
"Ok." Dominic was fine with it. He was curious and honestly wanted to be included. If that meant getting drunk then he would try.
"You shouldn't be drinking as much as I am." Dominic mentioned before picking up the drink. He knew from Damien that the others couldn't drink as much as they could. However, Dominic is ready to try this one and drinks about half of it before stopping.
"I shouldn't be drinking as much as you? Why? You're not my father."
Aleksi giggled and began drinking his exotic cocktail while keeping eyes on Dominic. He loved to tease the older man and spending time like this was fun. The man was interesting and Aleksi liked that.
"You're different to the other boys---uh men I've drunk with."
"You don't? Maybe you've just not got drunk enough to realise you're drunk?"
Was Aleksi making any sense? Probably not. He was getting more trashed by the second as he was slugging cocktails down because it was happy hour. He loved the strong alcoholic ones the best.
Aleksi just stared at Dominic and shook his head before taking a gulp of his drink. What blowhards made drinking booze illegal? It didn't make sense to the younger man.
"Bred? You keep using that word like it's normal."
"I guess it is. Oh well---let's get some more drinks. What would you like now?"
Aleksi pulling over a cocktail menu from the bar showing all the two for one drinks you could buy during happy hour. It lasted from 10pm to around 3pm. Perfect for the two men enjoying one another's company.
"We've got most of the night to try the whole menu if you want."
"All of them sounds good to me. No, I don't think they have gin in, more tequila, vodka, rum and whiskey."
Aleksi knew Dominic didn't like the taste of gin so wouldn't be giving him those drinks. They could still get totally trashed on the other cocktails on the list, that being all of them.
"A lot of food was regulated because it was considered a crime to eat." Dominic had always thought that was a wierd military stance. "Alcohol, sweets, coffee, sugar, fruits."
Aleksi shrugged at what Dominic was saying because he'd never heard about such a restrictive place before. It was as if the whole place was one giant open prison that people lived in.
"No booze? Fuck. I couldn't live without my booze, sugar and freedom."
Aleksi wondered because Dominic just said fruit was illegal where he came from. Maybe he got it illegally somehow? The boy was guessing at the minute, as he pushed over some more cocktails for his new friend and himself.
"Let's get wrecked!"
The Finn laughed as he downed the cocktails one after the other.
"I haven't tried all of them." Dominic downed half of his drink while he was thinking. "At home, cherries, but I've tried pineapple, lemons, strawberries, papaya, mangos... hmmm.... some jams but I forgot what the fruit was in them."
"I'm not that much of a fruit person but I like fruity cocktails. As long as there is plenty of booze in them too."
Aleksi giggled drunkenly as he hadn't even realised he was sort of sliding against Dominic's side because he was trashed. Could he walk back to the taxi? Probably not. At this rate, Dominic would have to carry the young Finn back to his bunk.
"Papaya? Never had that one before. What's it like?"
"They had one on the menu." Dominic finished his drink and ordered one of those so they could try it. He did feel Aleksi leaning against him more heavily and slid his arm around the younger man. It was instinct because he was worried he might fall, and it felt good. He wasnt's expecting it to feel this good.
"It's soft and sweet. It reminds me of melon, I think." Dominic hadn't had a lot of sweet things or fruits in his life so he was struggling to find a good description.
